WE STARTED A SPACE HOPPER INVASION ON EARTH
The campaign was for the launch of Sony Ericsson’s ‘Entertainment Unlimited’ mobile phone series.
hopperinvasion.com was launched by an invasion of 'space hoppers' in Barcelona’s city centre.
On the website you could create your own hopper and join the online invasion. Yahoo was invaded by thousands of hoppers in over 20 countries.
270,000 space hoppers customised and 277,000 new emails registered.

Hoppers could be inflated through the use of keywords on Twitter or through the website. Each Space Hopper was inflated depending on online activity, removed and replaced by another one. The event was streamed online 24h a day for 2 weeks and users were encouraged to tweet what they would like to do with the hundreds of Space Hoppers.
A lot of space hoppers died making this event.
